Out of sessions

When you see No sessions remaining, buy a Learner Pass or a pack from Sessions & Billing, or ask your admin for more if your organisation funds you.

A sim will not start when there is less than one whole session left to pay for it. You see "No sessions remaining. Top up, or ask your admin for more sessions." and no run is created, so nothing is charged. Before that, when you are down to your last session, a banner on Sessions & Billing reads Low on sessions. and the end of a run warns "Low on sessions" with the number left.

What to do depends on who pays for your sessions.

You have a Learner Pass

Open Sessions & Billing and buy another Learner Pass. One pass is five sessions for A$15 and never expires. See Learner Pass.

You have a Creator Seat

Your 25 included sessions for this period are used up. Buy an Extra sessions pack from Sessions & Billing. A pack is ten sessions for A$25 and never expires, so it sits behind your included sessions and is only used when they run out. Your included sessions come back when your seat renews. See Creator Seat.

Your organisation funds you

If you were invited by your organisation, you cannot buy sessions yourself. Your billing page is called My Sessions and only shows your usage. Ask your team admin or organisation admin for more. They can raise your quota or top up the team or organisation pool. See Session quotas.

Two related messages mean the same thing at a different level.

  • "This assignment has used all of its sessions." The assignment you were given came with its own session cap. Ask the admin who assigned it.
  • "Ask your team admin to assign this one to you" appears when you open a sim that has not been assigned to you. Team members run assigned sims only.

You are running a sim someone shared with you

  • "The person who shared this simulation with you is out of sessions." The creator who shared the sim pays for your runs, and their balance is empty. Tell them.
  • A message that your sessions from that creator are used up and to continue with your own. The creator gave you a set number of sessions and they are spent. Your own balance is used from now on.

On a workshop link or embed you see "This link is not available right now." when the link owner cannot fund another run. The link owner sees a notice on their delivery page that the link has stopped accepting participants and needs a top-up.

A run that lasted under a minute never costs a session, so an interrupted start does not use up your last one.
